    AMP trip slated
Beta Chi will sponsor a trip and tour of AMP International next
Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. Interested students must con
tact Sheri Phillips, Beth Saylor, or Glenn Buckfeller no later than
this Wednesday, Feb. 16.
The purpose of the trip is to make business contacts and gain
exposure to the sales/marketing and accounting/computer science
departments of the corporations.
Valentine's dance tomorrow
Are you waiting for cupid to draw back his bow? Then come to
the Valentine’s Day Dance on Tuesday, Feb. 15th at the Student
Center from 9:00 p. m.’til 1:00 a. m.
Admission will be $2.00, wear red, bring a beverage and your
favorite flame and dance your heart out at S. U. B. O. G.’s second
event this year.
Senior picture retakes set
If you missed your senior picture setting or want to have a
retake, pictures can be taken in the BCAC on Feb. 21 & 22. Sign up
in Student Activities Office, W-104, this week.
C.C. literary magazine
TARNHELM, the Capitol Campus literary magazine, invites all
students to share their literary, poetic, and photographic talents
by submitting works to the TARNHELM staff for review. Sub
missions should be dropped off in W-129 or W-360 no later than
April 1.
TARNHELM is also looking for a new name! A $lO prize will
be awarded to the “new-name parent.” Submissions for the con
test should be dropped off no later than March 1 in W-129 or in
the TARNHELM mailbox in the Student Affairs Office, W-104.
Barbershop quartet
The Keystone Capitol Chorus will present “Brother Can You
Spare a Dime” on March 4 and 5,1983 at 8:15 p.m. at the Her
shey Community Theatre. Contact the Hershey Theatre Ticket

The Dauphin County Library
System win sponsor a series of
lectures at the Central (State)
Library at Front and Walnut
Streets each Sunday in
February at 2 p.m. For exam
ple, on February 20, the topic
will be “300 Years of Black
History in South Central Penn
sylvania,” given by Dr. Leroy
Hopkins.
The library system is involv
ed in touring a play produced
by a local black theatre group.
“Anoche Has His Day,” will be
presented at the Northern
Dauphin Branch, Hershey
Public Library, East Shore
Branch and the Kline Village
Branch. Designed for
youngsters in the first through
sixth grades, the play is
presented by the Mlanjeni
Magical Theatre and is free to
the public.
- Shippensburg State College
will host a black dance group.
The Brenda Lee Dance Troup
will perform in the Cumberland
Union Building on Saturday,
February 26, at 9 p.m., for a
small fee.
President Reagan in his 1981
address to the black community
made his'feelings known to the
nation about black history:
“The observance of the Afro-
American (Black) History
Month serves to focus national
attention on an endeavor of
awareness that should follow us
throughout the year... Their
struggles, achievements and
perserverance help us under
stand the moral fiber of America
and our commitment to
freedom, equality and justice.”
