P.M. The Auction will be held this year at the Association Building at 21 North
Front St., Harrisburg, with parking available throughout the day at the Dauphin
County Courthouse lot at Front and Market Streets.
Artwork by Association members will be offered for sale, with professional
auctioneer Anthony Spataro of Global Auctions handling the bids. Besides
watercolours, acrylics, oils, photos, graphics, drawings and sculpture, this year
for the first time crafts will be offered in the sales catalogue. Also, gift certificates
for such things as art lessons, portrait sittings, art supplies, and custom framing
will be put on the auction block.
Two Ira Deen paintings and a Charles Walker painting from two members'
private collections will be featured items put up for sale. Other works in the
auction will be the creations of both well-known and lesser known Association
artists. Buyers will have the rare opportunity of discovering new talent, and
adding to their art collections at reasonable prices.
A preview of all work to be sold will be held the week preceding the auction at
the Association building, with hours of 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday, March 22, and 10 A.M.
to 2 P.M. Monday through Thursday, March 23 to 26. Sealed bids will be accepted
