The Art Association of Harrisburg will hold its ANNUAL ART AUCTION on Saturday, March 28, beginning at 2 P.M. and continuing until approximately 10 P.M. The Auction will be held this year at the Association Building at 21 North Front St., Harrisburg, with parking available throughout the day at the Dauphin County Courthouse lot at Front and Market Streets. Artwork by Association members will be offered for sale, with professional auctioneer Anthony Spataro of Global Auctions handling the bids. Besides watercolours, acrylics, oils, photos, graphics, drawings and sculpture, this year for the first time crafts will be offered in the sales catalogue. Also, gift certificates for such things as art lessons, portrait sittings, art supplies, and custom framing will be put on the auction block. Two Ira Deen paintings and a Charles Walker painting from two members' private collections will be featured items put up for sale. Other works in the auction will be the creations of both well-known and lesser known Association artists. Buyers will have the rare opportunity of discovering new talent, and adding to their art collections at reasonable prices. A preview of all work to be sold will be held the week preceding the auction at the Association building, with hours of 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday, March 22, and 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. Monday through Thursday, March 23 to 26. Sealed bids will be accepted throughout the preview week.
