Well here it is, Hawking
like the devil outside with a
student attitude to match.
Typing this little message I
had the comment made that
fora Friday it was too dead . .
it resembled a monastery.
Well. the RGIs can't complain
of such lethargy. Early each
weekday the Lounge comes
alive with smiling faces and
over-cooked coffee. After all,
WHAT DO YOU WANT? I

Look up any Frat member
in the next two weeks. We are
having a Valentine's Day raf
fle with the winner receiving
a dinner for two at the Host
Inn. The Fraternity will pro
vide reservations, a $5O limit
for dinner (the Host has a
lounge next to the dining
room, live music is provided
starting at 9 p.m. and there is
no cover charge for those in
the restaurant), and chauffeur
transportation to and from
the Host Inn.

Friday Feb. 15 is the win
ning day, and reservations are
for 7 p.m. You have to supply
the better half. Tickets will be
$.50 each or 5/ $2. Oh yeah,
the chauffeur is also going to
be in a tuxedo. If you think
the idea of any of the XGIs in
a tux is a bit absurd, you know
how the volunteer (?) feels.
The Fraternity is schedul
ed to visit the psychiatric
ward of the Lebanon VA
Medical Center on Friday
Feb. 29. We hope to have a
rather sizable crowd, as this is
something special. Time for
the visit is set from 7:15 to
8:45. We will be leaving a bit
early, so anyone who is inter
ested, stop by the Lounge so
adequate transportation can
be provided. With luck, Mike
Sheldon and Sam Bookheimer
will provide guitar entertain
ment. Both are known to be
excellent players. We're hop
ing that the veterans less
fortunate than ourselves will
enjoy what small cheer we
bring; and if past visits are
any indication, the trip will be
a good time all the way
around.

A special thanks to those
individuals who have deposit
ed books and periodicals in
the Lounge for this trip. Our
thanks are not nearly enough.
Also, the Vets who are not
associated directly with the
Fraternity, we would like
your support on this one. Our
next meeting is Feb. 19. If
possible, mark your calendar
and attend.
Congratulations to Skip
Bierschmidt, the newest
member of our brotherhood.
Congratulations also to our
Volleyball team. One victory
on Wednesday Jan. 30. It was
by forfeit, but the team did
get to practice. Looks good
this year.
So until next time people,
remember that the longer you
stay in your corner, the longer
it takes to change anything.
The weather may be frightful,
but why display it in indivi
due' attitudes?

Only two more weeks
until the Campus be
comes host to those
bright and bubbly indivi
duals known as High
School students. Remem
ber those days, people?
Well, there will be at
least 75 of these little
darlings that need hous
ing for the weekend of
Feb. 21-22. Most resid
ents have already receiv
ed yellow housing forms
requesting the donation of
that extra space. Ask
the people who hosted
last year; guaranteed that
this little bit of effort is
more than worth any
inconvenience.
We could still do
with some staff workers.
Typing, mimeograph, and

important as any Commit

greatly appreciated, and one
usually manages to get
some fun from the effort.
This year's confer
ence will have three
guest speakers. On Thurs
day Feb. 21, Mr. George
Meek will address the
opening ceremonies in
the auditorium. Mr. Meek
is the Chief of Exter
nal Relations for the
Organization of American
States. His lecture will
present a general over
view of the function
ings of the OAS. Space
will be tight, but anyone
interested is welcome to
attend.
BSU is sponsoring a

The next meeting of

of Tu B' Shvat. The tree was
planted on the West corner of
the building, across from the

All things considered, this
