February 24, 1977 XGI Re • orter By Keith Millison Vince Johnson wanted me to remind everyone that the fraternity is having another keggar this Saturday, February 26th. The keggar will be held at the Hunters and Anglers Club in Middletown, and the music will be provided by the group Uncle Remus. We expect to have another great turnout like the one at the last keggar, where over 300 people attended. Congratulations are in order for the fraternity's volleyball team, captained by Pittsburg's own Joe Horochak. The reason why you haven't heard of Joe before is because nobody else has either. All kidding aside Joe. has done an outstanding job molding the volleyball team into a winner. The current record of the team is now 2 wins and no losses, and we play' 2 games this week. The following people are great assets to the volleyball team: Keith Millison, Darrell Bookheimer, Robin Sherman Bus 361 Draws Aces On Tuesday, February 15, the students of Bus 361, students had previously sup " Operations Management," plied him. Good luck to the two fraternity bowling teams who have a shot at a playoff spot, especially XGI N 3 bowling team, who will need emergency first aid after their encounter with fellow fraternity brothers on XGI N 1 bowling team. Even though the fraternity's basket ball team is having a losing season there are two outstand .ing players who deserve some recognition. They are Joe• Stavoy, with 41 points and 21 rebounds, and John Smelik, with 32 points and 38 rebounds. MANSKE Senior, Int'n Studies Major "As a freshman, I remember wondering if ROTC would be a waste of time. I also thought I'd look pretty silly marching around on a field in an Army uni form. "The fact is—ROTC is a challenge. A real chal lenge. It's been exciting and I've learned a lot. The best part is, when I graduate I know I've got a job—and it won't be in management training. It'll be in manage ment." Learn what it takes to be an Army officer. You'll get the kind of management and leadership experience that will be an asset to you in any career, military or civilian. The Ishangi Dancers from the Yoruba tribe in Nigeria put on a performance which depicted nearly all aspects of life in the ancient Kingdom of Mali (present West Africa). In his message to "our brothers and sisters" over here, the leader of the group said he came here with "greetings from your fathers and mothers at home," adding that they wanted to know when they shall "see you over there?" In a short interview, the president of the 8.5. U., Mr. Sheldon Munchus, said he was very pleased and encouraged by large and indiscriminate patronage of the festival, and hoped that the spirit of oneness shown during the festival weeks would continue.
