Cultural Committee Sets
Programs For Year
By Linda Kerstetter
The Cultural Committee under the
direction of Roberta McLeod, coordinator of
student activities, has planned a series of
programs for this school year which should
cover most interests of students, faculty,
staff and the community. The programs will
be divided into several categories.
The first category is the Bicentennial
Series which will include performances and
lecturers who will present programs giving a
historical overview of America from
1776-1976. The first performance in this
series was “Americana”- history of America
in folk songs with nationally acclaimed folk
singer George Britton, who was in costume

performance was on Tuesday and set design
was provided by one of our own students,
Harry Nugent.
The first presentation in the Health Series
was presented on Wednesday. The guest'
lecturer was Dr. David R. Halbert, assistant
professor, department of obstetrics and
gynecology at Hershey Medical Center.

auditorium. The first program in this series,
funded by the General Motors Corporation, is
entitled “General Motors and Minorities.”

assistant regional manager, General Motors
Public Relations. He will tell of his
