For the first time in the history
of Behrend College,_ Donny Iris
and The Cruisers will be entertain

The concert was formerly sug

task of actually bringing them here
turned out to be a unlikely event.
The whole idea came about when

Progressive Talent (an organiza

The talent agency told Karin

Behrend has worked closely in
the past with the talent agency to
bring about a lot of entertainment
for the students. This concert has
been one of the best events to come
from Progressive Talent to
Behrend. "Without the agency, we
would not have been able to con
tact the group," said Karin Shrum.

Behrend's SCUBA Club, headed
by MSG Young, will be going to
Florida to dive in the waters off the
shores of Key West. Leaving on the
26th of Feb., the lucky divers will
travel by van and arrive on Satur
day, February 28th. An Army
SCUBA school in Key West will
host the group of 19 Behrend divers
for their 11 day Spring Break
vacation.
Although many of the divers are
to be certified in Florida, some are
already certified. For those who
have their certification, advanced

made the top 40 charts. Songs such
as "Do You Compute?," "The
Wrapper," "Ah Leah," "She's So
Wild," and "Shock Treatment"
are just a few of their most
popular. The most recent release of
their albums was "No Muss, No

the dives made in Key West, dives
at Crystal River, Ginnie Springs,

Diving isn't the only fun schedul

be seeing the sights of Key West,
having a beach picnic, going night
fishing and having plenty of free
time in which they can swim at the
beach, lay in the sun, search for
seashells, send postcards, or do
whatever pleases them most!

The Student Programming

upcoming concert. The SPC

cost and SGA is supplying the
other $3,000 that is needed. Karin
Shrum said the goal (for both
organizations) is to bring someone

the students.
