Faculty Compete In Games by Mark Yeager Collegian Sports Writer Two Behrend faculty members competed in a field of over 500 men and women in the St. Vincent Quad Games cross country ski race. Dr. Edwin MaseUer, in his third year of competition in the games, came in first in his age group and 49 out of the 410 men who finish ed the five-mile race. Masteller, who started skiing about nine years ago, enjoys cross country skiing and focuses more on his finishing times rather than the trophies. Chris Anderson, SGA vice president, disagreed. He thought that ICC was a special interest group, and due to the fact that SGA has on and off campus representatives, all the students were being represented. The vote took place on Feb. 4 and the final vote was almost unanimous. He also looks forward to com peting in the running part of the games. His time in a 10K race is around the 40 to 43 minute mark, but he is working at improving this time. Also competing in this race was Behrend’s women’s tennis coach, Pamela Fischer. She finished fourth in her group out of the 13 women who finished.
