PAGE 8 Men’s Tennis Season Approaching by Rob Roth Collegian Sports Writer One look at the Behrend tennis courts steeped in two feet of snow and it appears that it will be an interminable winter before the tennis season begins. The fact remains that the men’s varsity tennis season begins in less than two months with practices and initial home matches to be played at the Pennbriar tennis center. The selection of a new coach must be completed before the season can begin. Interviewing for the vacated position began this week and a new coach should be selected within two weeks, with practices to begin shortly thereafter. Returning starters for the NAIA District 18 Cubs include Tim Joncas, Chuck McKenna, Rob Perkins and possibly Jerry Tylman, who won the district championship two years ago. It is hoped that last season’s 2-8 record can be greatly im proved upon.
