Ed Malinowski, a competitor and strong force under the boards, is capable of scoring in side or outside. Malinowski car ried an 8.7 points per game average through last season. “A realistic goal for this year with such a young group is to dou ble the amount of our 1983-84 victories. We would then ap proach the .500 mark which is where I would like to be in the se cond year of the program. The addition of the five freshmen with the returning players, will give us much needed depth and allow us to dictate game tempo.” Zimmer man further assessed the season in this way, “We’re committed to building towards a nationally competitive program. Providing we have no unforeseen cir cumstances, this year will move us closer to that goal. Once again Behrend’s schedule will be extremely competitive; dotted with both NAIA District 18 and NCAA powers. The schedule includes the tradi tional rivalries of the Big Five; Edinboro, Mercyhurst, Gannon, and Alliance.
