Behrend opened up the game by pressing full court. Their excellent defense troubled the Ohio squad during the whole first half by stealing the ball which caused the Cubs to gain the momentum, thus Setting the tempo for the rest of the game. Coach Zimmerman went to his bench throughout the game and got a lot of good help from Frank Swartz, Steve Kearney, Tony Hasson, and Bill Miklos. These four had a combin ed (5) points off the bench, which is outstanding. This is important for the coach to know he can go to his bench and they can get the job done. The Cubs went in the locker room with a 46-28 advantage. In the second half the Cubs again played good defense and hustled really well for loose balls. Greg Green and Frank Swartz controll ed the boards for the Cubs. The Cubs were very organized offen sively and got a lot of good inside shots. This victory helped the Behrend squad to feel more com fortable with each other on the floor and a sense of confidence Behrend's lady cagers opened their season at home with an im pressive 64-48 win over the Tar tans of Carnegie-Mellon Universi ty last Friday. CoTlyegilioelSpalorUmpEedilitor It was 8:00 in the morning on November 23 when I received an unusually strange phone call. It was my editor (Claire) informing me that I had received a piece of mail and that I was to pick it up before I left for Thanksgiving break. Much to my surprise this is the letter I received: Dear Mr. Campbell, A friend of mine gave me the Behrend Collegian newspaper and I was so pleased to read your review on "Bay City Blues." My daughter Sharon Stone plays Cathy St. Marie, wife of Patrick Cassidy in the series. I think this week's episode was the best yet. I am forwarding your review on to her in L.A. If anyone is interested in writing her or any other characters the address is: M.T.M -Enterprises 4024 Radford Ave. Studio City, California 91604 I hope the ratings don't edge it out. Sharon was guaranteed thirteen weeks, but we hope it goes on as Hill Street has. Sharon also has a lead role in a movie to premier January or February of 'B4. She plays Ryan O'Neil's girlfriend in "Irreconcilable Differences" along with Shelly Long and Drew Barrymore. Thank you. We're glad you gave Bay City Blues a plug and push in the right direction. I don't have the opportunity of getting the paper here, but if you have an extra copy for my scrap book I'd appreciate it. Sincerely, Mrs. Joseph Stone Box 252 W.
