Flag Football Underway The Flag Football season is well underway with a total of twenty-seven teams; 23 men's and 4 women's teams. This year there are 371 participants in the Intramural sport. There are seven more teams and one hundred more players than last year. One reason that attributed to the significant increase is the fact that this is the first year for teams consisting of women. In the past, there always seemed to be a lack of motivation to form women teams, according to Coach Duane Zimmerman. Another reason, he sighted, is the enthusiasm of the freshmen this year. And also the attitude and involvement of Behrend Students has upped the support of The Intramural Sports Program. Although it is early in the season, many teams are per forming well above average. A few of the teams high in the standings are; the Niagara Follio, Jacob's Jets, Softball Practice, and Joawad. All of are.. playing excellently. Page Three EMS
