Behrend Collegian Student Union Presents Upcoming Activities SUB will hold a Coffee House featuring local talent Friday, April 21 at 9 p.m. Cost is free with an activity card, and 25 cents without. It will be held in the RUB dining hall or the picnic grove depending upon the weather. A Marathon Dance will be held Saturday night, April 22 in Erie Hall. Eddie Cee and the Bees are the featured group. The dance contest will last 6 hours beginning at 9:30. Price of admission is 35 cents with an activity card and 75 cents without. To enter the contest, the fee is $l.OO with an activity card and $2.00 without. First prize is $25.00, second is $lO.OO The SUB is presenting “The New Voters” series in the RUB TV room. The video-tape series will ' v all day Tuesday with Now Available RA Applications Applications are now being accepted for Resident Assistants during the 1972 - 73 academic year. Applications must be submitted before April 28, 1972. After submitting an application the candidate meets with Mr. Daniel Fiorentino who will ex plain the duties and respon sibilities of the position. The candidate will then have an in terview with Assistant Dean, of Student Affairs, Betty Seanor. This interview will be used to screen the applicants concerning their qualifactions. The candidate will then meet with Mr. Ernest E. Fryer who will test the applicants on their ability to give coun seling. The appointments will be made by the Office of Student Affairs after evaluating all the information gathered about the applicant. Recomendatiohs by the applicant’s house mother and R.A. will also be taken into consideration. Fiorentino stated “The trend in selecting R.A.’s is moving toward selecting older students because statistics prove that they are more capable.” After the selection of the can didates they will be given an LAWYER’S ASS’T in only 3 months College graduates and other qualified persons (male and female)—our in structors (all practising lawyers) will train you to become a lawyer’s assistant, to perform paralegal services under a lawyer’s direction and supervision (but not as a legal secretary—in fact, you too will use the services of a legal secretary).
