"This will help sustainability in two ways: less food waste in land fill and a usable product saving the cost of purchase and trans portation.", says Geering. Greener Behrend Task Force has accomplished many of its original endeavors such as new recycling stickers on the recepta cles, installing motion-activated light detectors all over campus, ensuring a public bus stop on campus to reduce emissions, pur chasing new bike racks for the Junker Center, registering the Behrend campus as an arboretum, amongst a multitude of other en vironmental achievements. Any none voting student of the SGA can serve on the SAF committee and any student serve on the SFF committee if you are interested please contact the SGA President. What we are working on: The SGA standing committees have begun meeting and are currently developing initiatives for the year. The Student Affairs Committee is planning on having an open forum for students to voice their opinions. This forum will be open to all student and will serve as a way for SGA to get to know what the student body needs in any aspect of college life at Behrend. "We do some awareness events in res idence halls, but with those a lot of the time you miss out on reaching com muter students," she said. "With these types of events, you get to get out there and reach all of the students on the cam pus." "This campus community never ceases to amaze me," she said. Panhellenic Council is planning to have a table out side of Bruno's Café selling tickets on Sept. 21-23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the spotlight that breed," said Daley, "but they wanted one that was out there doing something more in teresting than sitting at home being a pet." With the fan base Erie has gathered around campus, it's evident to see that he's been more than doing something interesting.
