Both Lapp and Moran were mem bers of THON last year, and both agreed that it was everything they ex pected. "You really don't understand what it is, how big it is, until you're a part of it." said Lapp. "It's the biggest student-run philanthropy in the world." Both Lapp and Moran agreed that there were a few things they wanted to improve from last year, including getting more of their organizing done ahead pf Urge, ialg. "We want to have at least one big fundraiser going on every month until Big THON at University Park," said Moran, "last year we raised more than $29,000. This year, we want to more than double that, so we set our goal at $65,000." Currently, THON is selling holiday themed cutouts for $1 to raise money for the charity, and will continue doing so until finals week.
