You do Whiskey_Chronicles By Matthew Schwabenbauer college life editor mjss3B7<B'psu.edu Welcome to Whiskey Chronicles, my new week ly indulgence that lets your parents know where that $30,000 a year is really going. This week, you’re going to learn how my couch got urinated on. A note to my friends: avoid my couch. If there are any freshman reading this, let me tell you that one of the first things you learn in college is that alcohol makes bad ideas seem genius. Alcohol can make you believe that Ipods are edible and walls are fun to puke on. Sometimes alcohol makes you think it’s a good idea to pass out in front of your friend’s apartment, thereby forcing him to allow you to sleep on his couch and minterate upon it in the middle of the night, because everyone knows, a little bodily waste makes anything bet ter. That is exactly how one of my friends improved my couch this weekend, by peeing on it. Enter: Oliver Schnickleshlit/.. I have clearly changed my friend's name for the purposes of this story, but he still pissed on my couch. Honestly, 1 should have seen it coming. Earlier that night I found Oliver passed out on top of a Geo Metro. But let’s not hold that against him. because who hasn’t seen a Geo Metro and said to them selves, “wow, that looks like a comfortable place to sleep." Now, after I interrupted Mr. Scnickleshlitz's slumber, a security guard from our apartment com plex walked by and asked why my friend was sleeping on a car. I asked him ii he had heard ol Natural Light and Vladmir vodka- he assured me he had. The security guard was holding a bottle of beer he found and asked if it was either of ours. Ultimate Frisbee Club If you would like to play Ultimate Frisbee. be sure to show up at the fields behind the apartments at him it was not but that we were accepting dona tions. Unbelievably, he handed us the beer and walked away. Once we got done laughing. Oliver had an epiphany that something cool was going on in another building, but now I know he was just drunk. On our way to whatever Mr. Schnickleshlit/. sensed was happening, he fell face-first in the mid dle of a sidewalk. I laughed then helped him up. Oliver’s arms were now nicely accented with fresh blood, but he didn’t care because we had to get to the party. When 1 asked him where this party was. he replied he had no idea. Realizing this could only get funnier. I followed. Oliver found the party he was looking for, by fol lowing someone into their empty apartment and promptly falling asleep on their couch. I explained the situation to Oliver's victim, who then helped me lift my friend. Once standing. Oliver assured us he was OK to walk again. He was OK to walk, right into a different room to pass out in someone else's bed. After Oliver's victim and his friends carried Mr. Schnickleshlit/ to an apartment he insisted was his but really was not. and after Oliver verbally berat ed the very people helping him walk by telling them they "have no clue what’s going on" and that they were “a bunch of pansies,” I decided it was time for my friend and 1 to return home. After our helpers dropped Oliver off at our build ing, 1 realized he wasn't going to make it home because he was passed out on my doorstep. Pretty soon people were peeking out their doors because of the commotion. It was at this point that I helped him onto my couch. The next morning. Oliver was gone when I woke up. What woke me up was one of my roommates yelling that our couch cushions were wet. 6:30 p.m. on Mon. Wed and Thu. and Sat at 2 p.m. at the Behrend Fields.
