Penn State Beluend student Kelsey Bova, a
*more, has quite a resume when it comes to
he Behrend Equestrian team. She recently quail
led for the Intercollegiate Horse Show
ssociation (IHSA) regional competition by more
an 35 points in this years shows. The competi-
on is taMuively scheduled for April 1, 2007, in
'verfalls, Wisconsin.
Though Bova says she has been competing in
one shows since she was eight years old, college
'ding offered a significant challenge because the
ehrend Equestrian team rides "hunt seat" instead
f "western style," which is what she was familiar
ith.

According to Fr. Arnold, "Advertising is key.'
Fr. Arnold said one of the differences betwee
being a parish priest and being a campus ministe
is the need to advertise on campus. He said, "I can
not assume that the faculty and the students kno
I am on campus." So he has left it up to himself t •
get interaction with the students and faculty. On.
way he does this is by his game "Stump th.
Priest," which takes place outside Bruno's Cat%
every Wednesday from 11:30-1. The game is f.
students and faculty; the ask him questions and
to "stump the priest" They do not have to be ques
tions of religion either.
Worship service is 7:30 p.m. Sunday, "All ar ,,
welcomed!" stated Fr. Arnold. If anyone woul
like to contact Father Dan Arnold for further ques
dons or for guidance, his email is dxal9 cf psu.edu
Also, his office hours in the Smith Chapel ar.
Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
from beginner walk, trot and canter sections o
competition, to competing to Novice Britati ,
on the flat, which is the area she is currently show
ing•
Bova says she is very excited about competing
the regional competition. She commented, "r
never competed at a higher level for Hunt Seat...
hope to place at least somewhere in the middle o
the class, but I'm happy with just having
opportunity to compete."
Unfortunately, though Bova says she would lik
to be able to continue competing at Behrend, s
is transferring to Penn State University Park f.,
the Spring 2007 semester. However, she did
that shc is considering trying out for their team.
Bova is from Spawning, Pa, and has
competing in western and halter riding since s
was eight. She is now 19 and has been =voila
