Father Arnold was born and raised in Erie into a amily of ten. He is the third of eight children. He ent to grade school at Blessed Sacrament and a Lady of Peace, where he later returned to be ne of their parish priests. He then graduated from • t. Mark Seminary and spent two years at Gannon niversity and another two at St. Bonaventure niversity. There he received a bachelor's degree philosophy. After those two universities, he ent to graduate school at Christ the King for the- logy and received his Master of Divinity degree. Ordained on May 16, 1975, Fr. Arnold has been reaching for 32 years. When asked who or what 'a inspiration was he replied, "Father Casimir ogniak was my inspiration... I thought he was .41 and he helped people, I thought I might do the • ." Fr Arnold's home parish is Our Lady of ace, located on West 38 street. She recently quail led for the Intercollegiate Horse Show ssociation (IHSA) regional competition by more an 35 points in this years shows. Arnold, "Advertising is key.' Fr. Arnold said one of the differences betwee being a parish priest and being a campus ministe is the need to advertise on campus. He said, "I can not assume that the faculty and the students kno I am on campus." So he has left it up to himself t • get interaction with the students and faculty. On. way he does this is by his game "Stump th. Priest," which takes place outside Bruno's Cat% every Wednesday from 11:30-1. The game is f. students and faculty; the ask him questions and to "stump the priest" They do not have to be ques tions of religion either. Worship service is 7:30 p.m. Sunday, "All ar ,, welcomed!" stated Fr. Arnold. She commented, "r never competed at a higher level for Hunt Seat... hope to place at least somewhere in the middle o the class, but I'm happy with just having opportunity to compete." Unfortunately, though Bova says she would lik to be able to continue competing at Behrend, s is transferring to Penn State University Park f., the Spring 2007 semester. However, she did that shc is considering trying out for their team. Bova is from Spawning, Pa, and has competing in western and halter riding since s was eight.
