(left) the 9foriday Spirit Often in today's fast paced world, we sometimes forget what the holidays are all about. To para phrase a great author, "it's not about ribbons, it's not about tags, it's not about packages, boxes, or bags. The holidays are about something much much more." It's more about being kind and caring for others. It's about being with friends and family and doing something nice for someone who hasn't had something nice done for them in quite a while--the giving of your time and not just opening your pocketbook. We all should think how we can do somthing nice for another person. These photos are to help illustrate that warm feeling some people get inside when they think of the holi day season. They range from community service to decorating, helping the needy, and just the spirit of the holidays in general. The Salvation Army raises money every year for the needy during the holidays.
