ROTC LEADERSHIP CAMP
Students at Penn State Behrend
seeking an exciting summer option
may want to consider Camp Chal
lenge, an intensive five-week train
ing experience for college students
who want to join the Reserve Of
ficer Training Corps (ROTC), but
have not taken the necessary ROTC'
Basic Course during their first two
years of college.
At Camp Challenge, students
without the ROTC Basic Course can
examine the Army without incurring
an obligation. Students may also
qualify for the Advanced Course,
which is offered in the junior and

Camp Challenge participants are
observed to determine their officer
potential in a leadership oriented,
challenging, and motivating five
week training program.
The Camp emphasis is hands on,
outdoor training with rapid, con
structive feedback to the cadet.
Above all else, Camp Challenge is
a leadership experience.
The training program is designed
to inspire students to become out
standing leaders with a sound un
derstanding of traditional leadership
values.
At Camp Challenge, students are
trained to lead and develop their
officer leadership potential. Stu
dents interested in attending will be
provided all necessary uniforms and
equipment. Their tra% el, food, and
lodging are also covered by the U.S.
Armv. Students will earn $850.00
for attending the camp

Students can also compete for
two-year ROTC scholarships that
pay full tuition, $450.00 annual
hook fee, and a monthly paycheck
of $200.00. Approximately
half the students attending this camp
will be offered these scholarships
based on performance. Students
accepting the scholarship will be
commissioned as 2nd Lieutenants
upon graduation in the Regular
Army, Army Reserves, or Army Na
tional Guard upon their graduation.

Student Government?
Student Forum! Bring concerns or ideas about academ
ics, classes, clubs, organizations, parking, commuter
needs, on-campus needs, and anything else! Student
Government representatives will be there to talk to
you about ways to change and improve Behrend
College. The Forum will be held Tuesday, February 15
at 12PM and again at SPM in the Reed Wintergarden.

SGA Booksale Check News! Off campus students who
sold books in the SGA sale can pick up their checks at
the RUB Desk. This is due to address unavailability!

Raiders Club is the newest club on campus! The club,
voted in at the Feb. 2 meeting, will be devoted to out of
doors activities like orienteering and repelling.
The SGA Website is located at http://

pictures of the SGA board and senate (with their email
addresses) and info. about committees, plans and
events. Email us with your opinions and ideas.
The Student Government Association office is in the
Reed Union Building, downstairs, next to the Back
Room. Meetings are held every Wednesday at S:2OPM
in Reed 114. Everyone is welcome!
