The week began on Monday night
with the sack race that took the place
of the scheduled marshmallow eat
ing contest. The first place winner of
the race for the sororities was Theta
Phi, and, for the fraternities, TKE.
"I liked the sack race better than
the marshmallow eating contest; it's
more entertaining than watching
someone stuff themselves with marsh
mallows,- said Judd Hornstein, 05
Mathematics, current member of ZBT.

the first part of the competition, par

outside of Bruno's. The bad votes will
be deducted from the good when they
are totaled up in the end. There is still
time today to vote for the Greek God
and Goddess before the chariot race,

with their guitars and their amps. The
resulting effect was a collage of in
sane reverbs, ranging from the
screechy horror kind to the scratchy
record hip-hop deal to even some sort
of strange UFO sound (well, at least
the way they sound on TV anyway).
Jake's Blues clearly gave Be

brave the fall chill. The long applause
at the end of their show verified the
crowd's approval, and as the crazy
noises from the stage finally died out,
the audience was left with the viva
cious aftertaste of the spirit of rock
(disgustingly mixed with that of
apple cider).
