This Spanish film will he shown Monday, October 4th in the Reed Union Build ing Lecture Hall at 7 p.m. Set in the 1600 s, El Rev Pasmaclo tells the story of a young Spanish king who is inex- pert in politics arid the art of love. In order to participate. students must email Jonathan Bondiie at jah34lo , psu.edu for reservations. The first ten students to make reservations will have access to a computer at the lab. All follow ing students must bring their own CPU: monitors will he provided. The limit of students that can attend is 20, so reservations should he made as soon as possible. NATIONAL DEPRESSION SCREENING DAY On Thursdav, October 7th, the Per sonal Counseling Staff will he host ing National Depression Screening Day from I I a.m. until I p.m. outside of Bruno's. A written self-test for de pression will he available, along with educational presentations and screen ing interviews with mental health pro fessionals. Depression is an illness and effective treatments are available. Meeting, Reed Wintcrgardcn--Noon • Depression Screening, outside of Brunos-11 a.m.-1 p.m. it4w The last meeting of Commuter Council was on Monday, September 27th at 1:00 p.m. At this meeting, ideas for the meeting with Dr. John Lilley were discussed. The ideas included: the parking issue, problem entering and exiting the college, bulletin boards in the parking lots, and labeling lots. Two proposals for money for the Student Activity Fee were submitted. The proposals were for a trip to the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and Wish-a-thon. Cider Rock will be held on October 15th from 4:00-10:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help set-up the pumpkin painting booth and to run the booth. Also, on October 16th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. the Commuter Mixer will be held in the Wilson Picnic Grove. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up and publicity. Pizza with the Provost will tentatively take place on November 15th from 2:00-3:00 p.m. This is open to all students and commuters are strongly encouraged to attend. Commuter Council is attempting to put together a newsletter to send out to the commuters so they are informed about the on-campus activities. Finally, if there is any commuter interested in representing Commuter Council at the Student Government Association meetings please con tact Karl. The duties include: giving a report from Commuter Council to the senate, voting privilege, and same duties as a senator. The Commuter Corner is written weekly by a member of the Commuter Council. The Commuter Council office is located in the Reed Building and meetings are held every Monday at I p.m. in Reed 112.
