Not only does he occasionally pitch, but he plays third base also. During the baseball team’s trip to Florida, Smith pitched against Christopher Newport University which the team defeated. Smith gave up five walks but struck out five batters also. He had a 4.22 ERA and batted two hundred. He contributed four RBl’s, two of which were game winners. Smith himself is extremely ex cited to start this season, but dis appointed because it’s his last sea son. Smith says, “This bunch of guys is great. They’re hard work ing.” He added, “No one is more exceptional then anyone else, but the team is extremely solid.” Quarterfinals Behrend 64 Grove City 44 Grove City 24 20 44 Behrend 26 38 64 Behrend Player FG 3-point FT Points Paloskey 6-9 3-4 1-3 16 Lawrence 5-8 2-3 0-0 12 Emick 2-5 0-2 0-0 4 Hughes 3-6 0-0 1-2 7 Bovaird 5-8 0-1 3-3 13 Willson 0-0 0-0 0-2 0 Park 0-1 0-0 0-0 0 Orris 3-5 3-5 1-2 10 Dunn 0-2 0-1 0-0 0 Plizga 0-0 0-0 0-0 0 Totals 25-45 8-16 6-12 64 Assists: 20, Rebounds: 34, Blocks: 1, Steals: 7, TO: 15 Grove City Cratsley 7-12 0-0 2-3 16 Ayton 3-6 2-3 0-0 8 Meling 1-7 1-3 2-2 5 Steinenian 2-6 0-1 0-0 4 Stianscn 1-5 1-4 0-0 3 Piter 1-6 1-3 0-2 3 Huffman 1-1 0-0 0-0 2 Fina/zo 1-2 0-0 0-0 2 Roberts 0-3 0-0 Totals 17-49 5-15 Assists: 9, Rebounds: 24.
