The loss against Laßoche drops the Lady Lions out of possession of first place in the AMCC, moving them in a tie for second with Frostburg State at 5 - 2. Pitt- Bradford now sits alone atop the AMCC, with a mark of 5 - 1. Last night against Grove City, the Lady Lions were denied on their home court for only the second time this year by a score of 53 - 42. On the 4th of February, the Lady Lions took a tough loss to AMCC conference foe Laßoche by a score of 61 -54. The loss moved the Lions AMCC record to 5-2, while moving Laßoche ahead to 2 -3. Poor shooting again may have shot the Lions in the foot, as they converted a dreary 34% from the field, while also only going 1 -14 from three- point land. "We were very flat that day, and we didn't come out aggressive," said senior captain Emily Marini." Again Marini led the way, as she knocked in a team high 13 points, while also pulling down a team high 9 rebounds. Marini also snagged an impressive 5 steals on defense. Tiffany Buck and Kim Moses each poured in 9 points, while Moses came up with 3 steals. The Lions placed II of their 12 players in the scoring column, as they put on a scoring clinic in front of the Lake Erie faithful. Maria Madigan and Jen Detelich led the scoring attack with l 3 and 12 points apiece. Emily Marini and Kelle Lerch scored 10 and 8 points respectively, while Carrie Nestor hanged in 9, as she also dished out 4 assists, and came away with 5 steals. The Lady Lions have four regular season games left, with three of the games counting in the AMCC stand ings. "We just need to bounce hack," said freshman Lisa Sanders.
