The series of events throughout April will culminate with the annual Take Back the Night rally and march, scheduled for Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m. in Perry Square. The rally will be held in Perry Square, followed by a downtown march, a speakout session and a reception at Gannon University's Beyer Hall lounge. The musical group Jon and Denny will perform, and free refreshments will be provided. Take Back the Night began in England in 1977 as a women only protest against the violence and fear.encountered by women walking the streets at night. Locally, the event was first held on the campus of Penn State-Behrend a few years ago.
