Thursday, November 16, 1995 IM update by Mike Coursey Collegian Staff Over 200 people signed up and bowled in Intramural bowling last weekend at Eastway Lanes. They all had a good time and were very competitive in their game. Rob Wittman organized the bowling event and everything seemed to run smoothly. The high score for the men’s single game was Pat Rougeux with a 225 game. He finished off with a 602 series, with John Hafner coming in second with a 589 score. Ray Zychowski came in third at 557. The first place men’s team consisted of Rougeux, Craig Watrous, Ken Bauer and Rob Wittman. The women’s single high game was Marsha Jensen with a 186 score. Mary St. Clair came in first overall with a 455 series score. Bobby Williams came in second with a 453 series score, and Keegan Guyer Finished third with a 423 score. There were 123 men’s singles, 42 men’s doubles, five women’s singles, three women’s doubles and seven co-ed doubles. Winners in the co-ed were Pete Wisniewski and Meghann Cerminaro. The women’s single winner was Bobby Williams, and in the men’s single A bracket the winner was John Nakahara. The bracket B winner was Dan Suba, and doubles A bracket was Tom Ream and Dan McCullough. The winners in the men’s double B bracket were Ilia Belkin and Ed Haft. The entry deadline for 5 on 5 basketball is December 8 and play begins in the spring semester. Rob Wittman said that, “Intramurals this semester had more participation than any fall semester, and especially more co ed and women’s teams." Besides local Behrend action, we also have other hoop festivities happining across the country. State UNC Tennessee UCONN BEHREND - It vtftfUrecently announced that five members of the men’s soccer team were named to the Western Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Soccer Conference (WPISC) All- Star team. Freshman goalkeeper Phil Gouker, jun.cjr midfielder Kevin Rinehardt, sophomore midfielder Ryan Ruta, and freshman midfielder Chris Nelson represented Behrend in prime style by making the team for the first time in their collegiate careers. Making the WPISC All-Star team for the second year in a row was junior forward Sean Blank. Blank was recognized for his efforts as he was tied for the team lead in goals with ten on the season.
