Strip Poker razor sharp by Matthew D. Cissne Co-adOor So, you wanna play Strip Pokes? Not a real good idea. Strip Poker comprised of Eric Warren, Kenya Bey, Stephen Respress and Scott Defoggi won the male Schick Super Hoops 3 on 3 intramural basketball championship. Strip Poker defeated Sig Tau A (John Yasnowski, Rick Kralevich, Dan Aaron and Don Senchak), 40-31 in the final. Defoggi was impressed with Sig Tau A, "I thought it (the intramural tournament) would be a cakewalk, but the Sig Taus were pretty darn good." Strip Poker now moves on to a regional tournament at Ohio State University in February. If they win at Ohio State, they will play in a Divisional tournament at an NBA arena. Strip Poker is not the only team from Behrend going to Ohio State. The Narcissists (Beth Demacio, Klima Hershner, Tracy Thompson, Amy Stranahan) won the women's division. The Narcissists compiled a 5- 0 record by defeating the other five teams in the womens' division. Fifty-two men's teams entered the hunt for the 3 on 3 title. The teams were placed into 13 divisions and the winners of each division went to the I ffl: I I I . Iha . Nebraska West Virginia Florid. St Florida St Notre Dome Auburn The Schick Super Hoops 3 on 3 tournament ended a strong fall intramural season. Intramural Coordinater Rob Wittman was pleased with participation this fall. "Overall, it (fall participation) was pretty good. It was up in some sports and down in some." Wittman continued, "I don't have any official numbers yet, but they should be just as good as last year and last year broke records." The fall point tallies me close in two divisions, Fraternity and Independents, while the races in the other two divisions, Residence Halls and Women, are all but over. Kappa Delta Rho leads the Fraternity division with 1,111 points, while Delta Chi (1,026), Sigma Tau Gamma (953) and Sigma Kappa Nu (950) are not fir behind. Nasty Assassins of Love lead the Independent Division with 796 points. Perry peckers (723) is a close second. Lawrence First Floor East is running away with the residence hall Division. They have a comfortable 255 point lead over Niagra third floor. Weimer's Women have a 640 point lead over Perry Powerhouse in the Women's Division. The intramural schedule starts up right away in the new year with 5 vs 5 basketball. Sign ups end Decanber 10.
