Math Anxiety Workshop: Learn studying and
test taking techniques, analyze situations, and more.
On Thursday, April 22, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., in
Science 121 there will be a math anxiety reduction
workshop conducted by Mrs. C. Cerami and Mrs.
C. Leech. Refreshments will be served. If you have
any questions contact Cheryl Leech at 898-6009.
10,000 Maniacs Tickets Available: 10,000
Maniacs and Zap Mama will be performing at
University Park's Rec Hall Tuesday, April 27, at
8:00 p.m. Tickets are $17.00 and will be available at
Eisenhower Ticket Office. Anyone wishing to order
UP TO 6 Will Call tickets/person may do so by
contacting Lisa Armstrong at 863-4624 NO LATER
THAN NOON ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 14.
Study Skills Workshop Series: Continues on
Monday, April 19 with "Finals Preparation". The
workshop will be instructed by Karen Wyennan and
will be held at Tigress Hall (lower•ground floor)
from 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
Fellowship/Scholarship Information
Meetings: On Friday, April 9, juniors find out
more about Fulbright Grants as well as Marshal,
Rhodes, NSF, Mellon, and other fellowship
opportunities. On Tuesday, April 13, at 12 freshmen
and sophomores learn how to prepare for
scholarships, fellowships, and other study
opportunities. Both meetings are held at 12 noon in
Reed 116.
Women's Club of Erie Scholarship: For
anyone already accepted in 2EET or 2MET. You do
not need to be in need of financial assistance. To
apply you must write a letter of application. For
more information contact the Financial Aid Office.
Deadline is the end of April.
Business and Professional Women of West
Erie County Scholarship: For mature women
who have returned to school to acquire skills
necessary to enter workforce after being a
homemaker. Deadline is April 13. Pick up an
application in the Financial Akl Office.
Orville Redenbacher Scholarship: For
students 30 years old or order, enrolled or planning
to enroll in a deg=. Deadline is May 1.
Pick up an application Financial Aid Office.
Air and Waste Management Scholarship:
For students enrolled full-time in a program leading
to a career in air or waste management in Weston
Pertitsvlviuda. Should have at least a "B" average,
beadluie is May 15. Applications can be picked up
in the Financial Aid Office.
After School Tutors Needed: Tutors are still
needed to volunteer one hour per week on Tuesday,
W(tclitesdity, and Thursday from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at
Diehl Elementary School. Call 898-6160 if you can
drive or need car-pooling information.
Organ Donor Campaip: The Health Ativisory
Board in conjunction with the Greater Erie Eye and
Organ Bank and Tan Kappasilon are co
sponsoring the annual United Co llegiate Living
Organ Donor Clunintipi. Everyone is smcouraftxl to
participate by signing an organ donor card In the
WintergreenLy the week of April 19-23.
Free Tutoring Available: All 13ehrend students
are welcomed to utilize the Learning Assistance
Center's services. Student and faculty tutors are on
duty daily offering help with many subjects. For

Blood
drive a
success
The Blood Drive on
Wednesday, March 31 and
Thursday, April 1 was
characterized as "another
successful effort by the students
of Behrend," by the Community
Blood Bank of Erie County.
Patty McMahon, Coordinator,
Health & Wellness Services at
Behrend, said, "Tau Kappa
Epsilon and Delta Phi Epsilon
did a superb job in helping to set
up, tear down, and register
donors."
According to McMahon,
Behrend is still the number one
supporter among high schools
and colleges in the Erie area.
"The response was excellent,
and we had over one hundred
pints donated. We are still
compiling the results of the
organization competition."

Today. Individual students and
faculty also participated by
representing their cultures and
heritages.
In comparison to the past
years' Fiestas, Ken Miller,
Associate Dean of Student
Affairs, said, "I think this year's
has been a greater success as the
event has continued to grow.
More groups have participated
and the types of things
represented have grown."
As for next year's Cultural
Fiesta, Wade said it will be
"bigger and better."
"There is always room to
improve," said Miller. "We are
always welcome to suggestions
from students and faculty."

Assault
On Sunday, March 28, a student was arrested for aggravated
assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and underage
drinking. The assault took place when officers attempted to
interview the student.
Harassment
On Monday, March 29, a student was arrested for harassment
and disorderly conducted after an officer was sent to Lawrence
Hall for students fighting. The caller reported that the student
had a knife.
!!!ATTENTION!!!
The Office of Police & Safety has issued
the following statements about parking
permits, fines, and payments of fines.
--Parking permits are half price
($20.00 full time, $lO.OO part time)
through May 8.
--Students who wish to settle a traffic
fine must either pay the appropriate
fine in the Finance office during normal
hours, or have - the fine charged to their
account with the University by
reporting to the Finance Office or the
Office of Police & Safety. When
reporting to the Finance Office for
either of the above, students must bring
the pink copy of the ticket with them.
Tickets settled within three business
days will be discounted $l.OO. After
seven business days the full amount of
the fine plus a $3.00 late charge will be
added to the student's account,
Students are not to discuss the
issuance of any ticket with Finance
Office personnel.
Students who wish to challenge a
traffic violation must complete an
appeal form in the Finance Office at the
Office of Police & Safety within seven
businass daYs• Appeals will not be
