Blood drive a success The Blood Drive on Wednesday, March 31 and Thursday, April 1 was characterized as "another successful effort by the students of Behrend," by the Community Blood Bank of Erie County. Patty McMahon, Coordinator, Health & Wellness Services at Behrend, said, "Tau Kappa Epsilon and Delta Phi Epsilon did a superb job in helping to set up, tear down, and register donors." According to McMahon, Behrend is still the number one supporter among high schools and colleges in the Erie area. "The response was excellent, and we had over one hundred pints donated. The assault took place when officers attempted to interview the student. Harassment On Monday, March 29, a student was arrested for harassment and disorderly conducted after an officer was sent to Lawrence Hall for students fighting. The caller reported that the student had a knife. !!!ATTENTION!!! The Office of Police & Safety has issued the following statements about parking permits, fines, and payments of fines. --Parking permits are half price ($20.00 full time, $lO.OO part time) through May 8. --Students who wish to settle a traffic fine must either pay the appropriate fine in the Finance office during normal hours, or have - the fine charged to their account with the University by reporting to the Finance Office or the Office of Police & Safety. When reporting to the Finance Office for either of the above, students must bring the pink copy of the ticket with them. Tickets settled within three business days will be discounted $l.OO. After seven business days the full amount of the fine plus a $3.00 late charge will be added to the student's account, Students are not to discuss the issuance of any ticket with Finance Office personnel.
