Johnson and his esti mable wife will leave Matamo-as the latter part of this month and will take a post graduate course in higher mathematics aud the lan guages at Mansfield state normal school from which they graduated in 1887. Mr. Johnson has been principal of our schools for the past three years and conducted them to the satisfaction of all. Mrs. John son, who is an excellent teacher and a flue disciplinarian, taught one year aud then to the regret of her pupils gave up her room. She is president of the C. E. society of Ep- worth church and always at the head of entertainments given for the church. An offleiont worker at the reoent rummago sale and at all church socials, and a moving spirit in the prayer meetings, she will bo greatly missed in church circles. Prof. Johnson is superintendent of Epworth Sunday school, chairman of the committee on permanent cer tificates, and as principal of our schools has evinced marked ability and industry.
