MaryAnn Martin, a new- comer to the club, is the La- dies’ Champion. The Junior Club Champion also holding the title for the second straight year is Greg Selenski. The sec- ond place finishers in each ca- tergory are Don McFadden, men’s; Mary Lou Evans, ladies; and Dalton Simpson, junior. PSU/WB golf tourney raises $3,000 The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Alumni Constituent Society re- cently held its 13th Annual Mas- ters Golf Tournament at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club in Moun- tain Top. With over 110 golfers and a va- riety of businesses participa- ting in the yearly program, the Alumni Constituent Society successfully raised over $5,000 in support of student scholar- ships for the Wilkes-Barre cam- pus. Proceeds from the tourna- ment are designed to increase scholarship opportunities as well as other initiatives for Penn State Wilkes-Barre stu- dents. The foursome of Mike Moran, Bob Razvillas, Ray Kovaleski and Jason Moore from Johnson Control Inc. combined to shoot a round of 59 and win a share of the 18-hole tournament. Right behind them, another group led by Ray Ostroski and Brian Bobeck captured part of the title with the same score. Each winning golfer received a Penn State Wilkes-Barre navy blazer, complete with 24k gold- plated Penn State buttons. SPORTS BRIEFS Lacrosse workshops slated for today Back Mountain Youth La- crosse is offering two “Learn to Play Lacrosse” workshops from 5 to 7 .m. today, Oct. 26, at Manglesdorf Field on the campus of Misericordia Uni- versity. A $45 fee includes two workshops, an STX stick, a ball and a U.S. Lacrosse “Par- ents’ Guide to lacrosse. To register, call 675-1328. Girls basketball clinic slated A basketball clinic for girls in grades three to nine, sponsored by the Dallas High School girls basketball team and coaches, will be held on Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Dallas High School gym. Girls in grades three to five will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. and girls in grades six to nine will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. Participa- nts must wear sneakers. Pre-registration is recom- mended.
