Returning student Megan Daily sported a Pampered Chef outfit because she likes to cook. Principal McCarthy wore a shirt that said, “I'm a super grandma” to show her love for her three grandchildren. She also donned a wide brimmed safari hat because she traveled to Ecuador and the Gala- pagos Islands during the sum- mer. Anna Lehane, a fourth-grader, came to Wycallis all the way from Spain. She felt the assembly would help her make more friends even though things have been going well for her. Fifth-grader and new student Zach Dotter wore his soccer jer- sey from his former town of Ber- lin, Conn. and liked the concept of the program. “It makes me feel more com- fortable that everybody knows me,” he said. At left, new students at Wycallis Ele- mentary School were introduced to the school community during an “All About CHARLOTTE BARTIZEK/ FOR THE DALLAS PosT Me" program Wednesday morning.
