BMT season ends The BMT Senior League All Stars saw their season end at the Pennsylvania State Tournament in Emporium, Pa. BMT lost a tough 2-1 10-inning game opening the tournament against Section 6 winners Penn Ridge. Hunter Englehart pitched the first seven innings, allowing one run on four hits. Konrad Kraszewski took the loss, allow- ing one run on two hits. Carson Baker hit a home run in the losing cause. BMT rebounded to defeat Sec- tion 7 champs Norristown, 12-2, in six innings. Carson Baker got the win, allowing two runs on five hits. Baker had three hits to help his cause. Steve Olshemski, Cody Plesnar and Hunter Englehart had home runs. Englehart had three hits. Kyle Caffrey had three hits with a double BMT was knocked out of the tournament with a 6-1 loss to Sec- tion 8 champs Coatsville. Konrad Krazweski had two hits in the loss. BMT finished with an overall record of 174. Golfing for the gridders The Dallas Gridiron Club held its 11th Annual Golf Tournament on July 19 at the Mill Race Golf Course in Benton and raised over $5,000. The Captain and Crew format tournament had 70 gol- fers participating. Winners were the Vince Ginoc- chetti Group, first place, first flight; the Randy Knappman Group, second place, first flight; the John Rivero group, first place, second flight; and the Bruce Goeringer/Russ Bigus Group, second place, second flight. Pro- ceeds from the tournament di- rectly fund the Dallas football team activities such as student awards, clinics, equipment, book scholarships and game-day events.
