Dallas Township receives grant for stream signs In February, Dallas Township was notified by the Susquehan- na River Basin Commission that their stream signage grant appli- cation, established to fund the installation of PENNDOT-ap- proved signs identifying streams, rivers, and creeks in the Pennsylvania portion of the Susquehanna basin, had been approved. The Susquehanna River Basin Commission received funding from the Pennsylvania Depart- ment of Environmental Protec- tion through its Growing Green- er Program. The purpose of the Program is to raise awareness, connect people to their water- sheds and encourage them to protect their water resources. Watch for signs that have been installed during the month of June, also known as “Rivers Month”, before bridges of staté- owned roads that cross over the waterways.
