Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week is a national award-win- ning economic education program offering students an inside look at the private enterprise system and how the free market functions. Student candidates must have completed either their sophomore or junior year, demonstrate lead- ership qualities, have a sincere interest in an intense and chal- lenging business schedule, par- ticipate in a variety of scholastic and extracurricular activities and be recommended by their high schools. Participants will join with some of Pennsylvania's top business practitioners to experience the challenge of competition through a business management simula- tion by assuming the roles of top management for fictitious com- panies. Through participation in PFEW, students acquire a greater appre- ciation and understanding of the importance of American business and the free market system or DANIEL PALEY freedom of opportunity. Kristi, who attends Lake-Lehman High School, was nominated for this National Award by Sandy Dobrowolski, cheerleading coach. Kristi will appear in the United States Achievement Academy Official Year- book, published nationally. Kristi is the daugher of John and Susan Snyder. She is the granddaughter of John and Phyllis Snyder of Dallas and Alice Daniels of Edwardsville. Two on Bucknell spring dean's list Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 1993-94 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean’s list recognition. Included are: Mary Pfeiffer and Jason Prokopchak, both of Dallas.
