Families are asked to bring place settings, meat and beverage for themselves, and a dish for the buffet table. There will be prizes and games for the children. The Crispells are descendants of Antoine (Crespel) Crispell, who came to this country in 1660 and along with 11 other patentees, founded the village of New Paltz, New York, near here. Antoine Cris- pell married Maria Blanchan on January 31, 1660, before migrat- ing to the Dutch Colony at New Paltz, and the local family is de- scended from this line. Maria Blan- chan died in 1679, and Antoine Crispell married Petronella DuMond. It is from this second marriage that the Roosevelt Family descended, giving a common an- cestor to the local Crispell family and to Presidents of the United States and a famous First Lady. Around 1825 Thomas Crispell and his wife settled in the Noxen- Beaumont area, and it is the de- scendants of this couple who gather for annual reunion. The original stone houses of the early settlement are still standing in New Paltz, and the Crispell family, in cooperation with the Huguenot Society, built a replica of the origi- nal church in 1972 in memory of Antoine Crispell. JOHN DUBIL ANNA (SAKOT) DUBIL Dubil reunion set for August 11 The family of John Dubil and Anna (Sakot) Dubil are pleased to announce the upcoming Dubil reunion. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish, their own chairs, a place setting, and bathing suits if you would like to take advantage of the lake. There will be games for all and some musical entertainment. We are pleased to announce that some long lost relatives that have been discovered while tracing our family tree, will also attend. Anyone who has any informa- tion or pictures from the old days, is urged to bring them along.
