Denmon Photo) Debbie Belenski promoted to executive post at First Eastern Debbie Darling Belenski, has been promoted to the executive staff at First Eastern Bank, ac- cording to a recent announcement by Richard M. Ross, Jr., chairman and CEO. Belenski, who became an assis- tant cashier, is assistant director of public relations. In that capacity she edits and publishes monthly and weekly employee publications and is actively involved with the preparation of quarterly and an- nual reports and writing and dis- tributing press releases. A bank employee since 1978, Belenski was previously a member of First Eastern’s Accounting Department where she had respon- sibilities in balancing mortgages, commercial and installmentloans, and cash management. She is a graduate of Dallas High School and has attended Wilkes College, in addition to numerous seminars and workshops on sub- jects dealing with banking and public relations. Belenski is a member of the executive board of the Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter, March of Dimes; Wyoming Valley Chapter, American Institute of Banking, and has participated in fund raising events for numerous organizations ‘including the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, American Heart Association, Big Brothers /Big Sisters and Junior Achievement. In addition, she assists with the Youth Group and High School Religious Education Classes at Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, and is an aerobic dance instructor Debbie Darling Belenski at the Greater Wilkes-Barre Fam- ily YMCA. Maceiko, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Maceiko of RD 2, Harveys Lake, enlisted in the United States Air Force's Delayed Enlistment Pro- gram, recently, according to SSgt. Russ Garis, Air Force Recruiter for the Willkes-Barre area. Michelle, a 1987 graduate of Lake-Lehman High School is scheduled for enlistment in the Regular Air Force on July 17. Upon graduation from the Air Force's six week basic training course, she is scheduled to re- ceive technical training in the Administrative Area. Michelle will be earning credits toward an Associate Degree in applied sciences through the Community College of the Air Force while attending basic and other Air Force technical training schools. Air Force Airman 1st Class John R. Wilson, son of John B. Wilson of 3015 Val Drive, Austin, Texas, has arrived for duty in West Germany. Students received instruction in the receipt, storage, issue, ship- ping and distribution of petroleum products used by the Army. He is a 1988 graduate of Lake- Lehman High School, Lehman. Navy Seaman Recruit Holly A. Pelton, daughter of Reese E. and Sybil I. Pelton of 10 Gordon Ave., Dallas has completed re- cruit training at Recruit Training Command, Orlando, Fla. During Pelton’s eight-week training cycle, she studied gen- eral military subjects designed to prepare her for further academic and on-the-job training in one of the Navy's 85 basic fields. Pelton's studies included sea- manship, close order drill, Naval history and first aid. Personnel Wilkes-Barre General Hospital's medical staff recently elected new officers to head more than 300 physicians on the hospital staff. Nicholas J. Ruggiero, M.D., was elected president and Alfred F. D’Anca, M.D., was named presi- dent-elect. John G. Citti, M.D, was elected treasurer, Melita M. Konecke, M.D., was elected secre- tary and John R. Tomedi, M.D., was elected assistant secretary. Each will serve a two-year term of office. Dr. Tomediis a graduate of Penn State University and Temple Uni- versity Medical School.
