Tho owners of tho Laura are all men engaged in active business pursuits and who are too con servative too jump Into any wildcat scheme. Should tho Laura and Huck leberry mines be consolidated the de velopment work this season will prin cipally bo done on the Huckleberry and Mr. .lustham will have charge of tho work. As soon as lie returns from his eastern trip he will go tip to tho mines to superintend tho work which will ho pushed vigorously all summer. Wo are glad to hear of Mr. .Ttistham's suc cess in handling his mining proierty. Sheriff Burns came over from Brook vllle to-day (Wednesday) and in com pany with Policeman Redding and sev eral others, went tn the tunnel in quest of some negro proprietors of speak easies. One of the men wanted, Bill Adams, was arrested and brought to tho Llndscy lockup, but the other one made good his escape, although a vigor us effort was mado to capture him. The Sheriff has decided to break up the il legal liquor soiling at the tunnel if It takes all summer. Punxiutawnoy Spirit.
