He was a man who al ways manifested a healthy spirit of enterprise and was ever concerned to better the interest of his follow men, a consistent member of the Kv. Lutheran Church, a good citizen and a kind father. His age was 58 years, 5 months and 15 days. His death occarrcd April 17, 1887, and the funeral, which was held in the Court House, April 20, was largely attended, and owing to tho ill health of his pastor, Key.
