Papers that are glanced at and thrown away are comparatively worthless to advertisers. It is the paper that goes into the homes aud is thoroughly read by the family that brings the best results to advertisers. A paper which is taken into the bosom of the family and read carefully from beginning to end is natural ly a business getter, for in such reading of the news aud editorial matter the reader cannot escape seeing the advertisements for a long euough time to make an im pression ou him. If the reader has confidence in the character and honesty of the paper's utterances, he voluntari ly places more confidence in the advertisements which itconta;ns, though the paper may not vouch for the advertiser in any way. You don't throw your watch away when it stops; you have, it fixed. If your jdvertisement doesn't bring results, don't get disgusted and quit advertising, but investigate the cause. A Valuable Book. Arrangements have been made for every reader of this paper to receive a copy of the new 1905 Kodol Almanac. We have seen a copy of the Al manac and must say that it is a thing of beauty in color and de sign and valuable for the import ant general information it con veys. Tho weather loreca.sts, we understand, are made by one of the best experts in the world; it differs from the generally pub lished forecasts, inasmuch as it detiDes the particular section of the country over which the same conditions will prevail each day. A feature of this Almanac is an elaborate Horoscope, based upon the day of the week and the day of the month of your birth. It ouc lines the character, humors, dis position and inclinations of people from a scientific horoscopical standpoint; it points out your guidingstar, your favorite month, lucky day, flower and birth stone. Its most important feature is without doubt its very simply constructed 200 Year Calendar, whereby with absolute accuracy you can tell tho day ot tho week on which any event occurred dur ing one hundred years of the past, or on which any date will occur during the next hundred years, thus givijg tho day of the week on which any birth, death, mar riage or any important event may have happened.
