Mr. Jerry Sprowl, who has been crippled for three years, has improved so much recently that on Thursday last he walked from the Mountain House to our towu. Many of our people attended Walter L. Main's great show in Saxtou Friday, and in Bedford Saturday. Theophilus Wright was relieved of a valuable gold watch by a sleight of hand per former at the Sax ton show. NEEDMOKE. Charley Kershner returned home from Cumberland last Sat urday evening. Rowe Mellott, tiie lumberman, passed through hero Monday. Mrs. Matilda Fisher spent a few days last week the guest of T. W. Peck and family. Morgan, the little son of Char ley Gordon, has been very sick, for a few days. Wm, H. Wink started early Monctay morning for McConnells burg, to serve as a juror. Mrs. Mollie Dixon aud little son Frederick came homo to her father's last Tuesday. Sammy Clevenger is back on the mail route. Rev. Baugher, who has been some what indisposed for a few days, started to meet his appoint ment last Saturday. Thomas Wink came homo last week and now the squirrels and the girls may look out. Eld. Norton of Washington, D. C, is expected to preach in the P. O. S. of A. Hall on Tuesday evening, and on Thursday even ing and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, he will attend the Union Meeting at Sidlouig Hill. Eld. Alderton is also expected to beat the Union Meeting.
