The Episcopal Mission Chapel named '"Mount Olivet" of which Glen Peterinan took the contract is completed. It is a very pretty chapel, plastered and finished with light blue on the ceiling' with a dark brown border and the walls of lighter brown. Tlie wainscot ing is varnished and the floor is oiled. Rev. Dnpae of Laporte has sent for the seats and expects to hold the opening service Oct., Ist. All arc cordially invited to attend. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jones have returned to Wiliiamsport after spending their honeymoon at this plttce. llarry Hunter who has been working at Hicketts, has returned homo. The Stork visited this place last week and brought with him two big baby boys, one to Mr. and Mrs. <iltMi Peterinan, the other to Mr. and Mrs. Emory Diltz. Misses Nellie Hunter, Fay Iless and Marie IVterman who are at tending Laporte high school walked home Friday evening to spend Sat urday and Sunday. There are eight girls from Sugai Point school attending high school at different places this year, five at Laporte and three at other places. We are Glad to say that Miss Lucy Farrell is again teaching the Sugar Point; school which is un usually large this fall, consisting of forty-two pupils. Miss Lucy gses to her home in Dushore every Fri day evening and returns Monday morning. W. & N. B. Employees' Outing The annual outing of the em ployees of the \V. & N. B. Hail road Company was held at Lake Mokoina last Sunday. The jubilee singers from Picture Rocks well pleased their audience. A fine lecture was delivered in the after noon by the Rev. E. \Y. Heim. It was a line day for a picnic and the large crowd thoroughly enjoyed themselves on the rippling waters and in the cool shady nooks of Lake Mokoma. Are You A Keystoner? Says the Towanda P.radford Star in part: "If you voted the ticket headed by Win. 11. Berrv. or for four of the candidates thereon, you voted the Keystone ticket, and must ask for a Keystone primary ballot. To procure any other bal -I>tor by false statement procure and vote another ticket, you would be guilty of a crime and liable to fine and imprisonment. Street Lights. The street corners of Laporte are radiant with light those dark nights, the ladies of the V. I. S. having erected an oil lamp on all of the principal corners, which will greatly aid the belated traveler in guiding his foot steps homeward. Card Of Thanks. Frank Stackhouse and Miss VirgieStager both of Hicketts were married by Justice of the Peace, James Caven of Lit porte, Sept., 2:5, 1011. The Peterman murder case is expected to be taken up at Blooms burg's September term of court on Thursday. Cheney and wife left Mon day for their home in New York City. They were accompanied by the gentleman's mother who will spend the winter in Bingliamton. If the parties who removed the picnic dinner and silverware from Joseph Mclntire's carriage 011 Sun day last, while 011 Mokonia picnic grounds, will return to this oflice the silverware and four napkins, 110 questions will be asked, other wise, these offenders of the law will be prosecuted to the full ex tent of the law as they are known to the writer hereof. Oliver Rose, a graduate of La porte High School, is attending school at Mt. Herman, Mass. Alvin Ifunsinger and wife of Wehauken, N. V., spent last week with Miss Fannie Meylert. Mrs. J. Mastcller has returned to her home in Nordmont after spending the past week at Mrs. Keelers. Miss Bessie Ricket of Atlantic City, N. J., who has been spending a week with the Misses Upinaus, Mrs. L. R. Bussler, returned to her home Tuesday. Our High School boys arc do ing some great training stunts these days in preparation for the track and field meet to be held at Forksville next Wednesday.
