ff?B w. M. OHBNE ¥ - - - Editor FJJIDAY, June 26th, 1891.1 ENTERED AT POST-OFFICE, LA I'OltTE PA.. ABSEOONO-CLASS MATTKH. The following lVoui tlic Pittston Gazette of Wednesday last gives an account of a marvelous cure of a l, o y who had been afflicted with paralysis for three years: "Who can say that the day of miracles has passed, in the light ol such events as that recorded by the Wilkes- Jjjirrc News-Dealer this morning, vherein is given a well authenticated case of the marvellous curative powers exercised by Father Molling er, the Pittsburg physician priest, which, as the News-Dealer says, must suffice to remove every pai ticle of doubt as to their genuine ness. The subject was Aloysius Kenny, the five-year-old son of ex- Policeman John Kenny, residing at the corner of Welles and Market streets. Throe years ago, when only two years of age, the little boy was stricken with paralysis and from that day has been utterly un able to move a muscle below the hips. His leg 9 were totally power less. He could neither stand, walk or creep. Last week his motliei took him to Pittsburg and on Fri day presented him to Father Mollin gor. The worthy priest blessed him and rubbed his limbs and on the instant, so Mrs. Kenny states, he rose to his feet, and walked, ran and jumped with perfect strength and freedom. Mrs. Kenny and her boy returned to Wilkcs-Barre last eyening and were met at the depot by hundreds of their friends. The news had been sent ahead, but those who knew him could hardly believe their eyes when they saw the boy jump olf the train and run straight to his father who received him with open arms. During the evening many hundreds of people gathered around the house to view this miracle, and the boy walked, ran and played about them all." Quite a number of Sullivan county people have recently visited Father Mollinger and much hopes are en tertained that they will be restored of their illness. Among the list were: Edward Baumgardner of Dushore, blindness ; Thos E. Ken nedy, and Miss Annie Shechan, of LaPorte, both cases lameness; Martin Gallagher, Cherry, catarrh ; Matliew Flynn, LaPorte, lameness ; Valentine Dohm, Cherry, consump tion ; Ed Sweeney, Cherry, lameness; C. Driscoll, Forks twp., lameness; Mrs. Adam Murpbey, Cherry, lame ness ; Mrs. John Kiernan, LaPorte twp., paralysis ; Mrs. Mark Smith, LaPorte twp., Miss Ella Cummiskcy Bern ice. I) TJSHORE ITEMS.
