No true lover of liberty should be without a copy of it. DS.CURRANTES FOR SOLDIRRS.-It is sug gested that, as there is a great abundance of currants this season it would be a good thing for those who have them to spare to dry them for the use of our soldiers. Besides being very acceptable to the volunteers generally, they would be especially grateful and bene- ficial to the sick and wounded. Let the mat ter be promptly taken in hand by patriotic citizens of Potter county, and the dried fruit collected at Coudersport and other central points, and properly forwarded. IMPOSTER.—The Masonic Fraternity are cautioned to beware of ati imposter,• rep resenting himself to be a member of Union Lodge, No. 108, of this place, who pretends to be in quest of a deranged brother, and says his name is Wade. The press is requested to "pass him round" , and put an end to his nefarious practices.-LBrad ford Reporter. ; Ille„.GLontons Porrna.—On Monday last, the Potter County Bucktails, Captain Psviutx, paid us a visit en route for the seat of war.— The Captain is deservedly one of the most popular men who ever pitched tent in glori-. ous little Potter. He is an honor to the Coun ty, and, so, iudeed, are the gallant. Bucktails who compose his command. The number who came on with the Captain was about two hundred, and a better looking class of men we have. never aeen anywhere. Captain DWIGHT is destined to make his mark in Dixie, and the crack of the rifles of the Bucktails will ring out in deadly echoes on the track of the cohorts of treason. As was fitting, the "Fire Zouaves" and "Home Guard," well mounted on their trusty chargers, preceded and followed with music and banners, Went out to meet the , Bucktails, and when the pro-', cession entered the town in extended } line as far as the eye could reach, the demonstration, was truly ; imposing and impressive. }Long live Captain' DWIGHT, and long wave the old flag under which gloriously rally the gallant Bucktails of Potter.-IVeliseille Free Priem. / Loss In the 46th Regiment.
