Gentlemen i-1 have recently run laboring under
the distressing effi•cts of indigestion, iti•1•0111pooled by
prostration of the nervous se stem. Numerous rem
edies were recommended by friends, and some of them
tested, but without toilet. Your Ileolland's German
hitters were recommended by pors.ins win, 11101 tried
them, and whose favorable mention of these bitters
Induced mo to try them. I must confess that Iliad
an aversion to Patent Medicines mil the "thousand

he to palm MI sweetened and drugged liquor upon the
community in a sly way, and the tendency of which,
I fear, Is to make many a confirmed drunkard. Upo

upon the sumach, but upon the nervous system, was

From A. D 1 Spengler, Editor of the Culturist, N
23 North Sixth St rett.
Some eighteen months since I wall a severe suffer
front Dyspepsia. 1 was not only unable to take plat
food without suffering great distress, but hid heron
so debilitated an to be almost unfitted ;or active bu.
urns of any kind.
After trying a variety of so-called I elm:dim., all of
which pr, red worthli se, I was induced, at the sugges
tion of a medical friend, to give llootiand's German
Hitters a trial. I accordingly purchaFy.d six bottles,
which were taken in accordance with your directions.
The result was complete removal of all distressing
symptoms, after eating or drinking, and a full restora
tion cif strength, so that I now eat all ordinary kinds
of lood with impunity, and UM aide to attend to all
the actives duties of a large and arduous business as
well as at any period of my life, the good effects of the
Bitters were manifested before I had taken the hot
bottle.
I have also used It In my family with tho happiest
results, and take groat pleasure in adding my testi
nony to that of the many others who have boon bone
fitted by them. I fled great benefit from the use of a
bottle In the spring and fall. They not only create a
vigorous appetite, but give a health tone to the stom
ach, by strengthening its digestive powers.
If the above testimony w 11l be the means of induc
ing any who suffer from dyspepsia to give your bitters
a trial (when It, I feel confident, will give them re•

I have derivod•docidod benefit from the use of Hoof

From Rev. D. Morrigo, Pastor of the Pasnyunk Bap

From the many respectable recommendations given

to give them a trial. After using several bottles I
found them to be a good remedy ter debility, tind a
most excellent tonic for the stomach.
