THE STATE COLLEGIAN The Senior Dance. The committee having in charge the senior dance on Friday, January 29, has decided to make an innova tion in the matter of patronesses for this occasion. A receiving line is essential, not only to give dignity to the affair, but also for the proper reception of strangers who may be present. An indefinitely long list of patronesses has proven to be impracticable, and after much deliberation the com mittee has invited, to act as patro nesses for the dance, only nine ladies : Mrs. Sparks. the wives of the Deans and Directors, and Miss Lovejoy, Dean of the Woman's de partment. Dancing will begin promptly at 8.30. The invitations and programs will be given out at the Athletic Store. Further notice of this will be posted on the bulletin boards later. The committee has endeavored to arrange for a pleasant and enjoyable evening and it is their hope that stu dents and faculty will take an inter est in it and so help to make the dance a success in every way.
