Chemistry Notes. In keeping with the many changes throughout the college the Chemistry department has made several ap pointments. Mr. F. J Kaufman, 'O6, has been made instructor, after teachiag in the Michigan Agricultural College for one year. Mr. G. C. Schaudlee, of Franklin and Mar shall, 'O7, is also acting as instructor, substituting tor Mr. Rentschler who is in Germany on leave of absence. Prof. Chuff hill has returnea from his work abroad and is acting in the capacity of assistant professor in In dustrial Chemistry. Again at Her Duties. Miss Simmons, instructor in Ger• man, has again resumed her duties after a course of study in Leipsic University, Germany, and a delight ful trip through Italy. She relates some very interesting stories con cerning .the typical college life in that country and the customs which prevail there.
