The Battalion at Harrisburg. Last Thursday, four hundred men, composing the cadet battalion, attended the dedication of the new State Capitol building at Harrisburg. Leaving here about five o'clock in the morning, they reached their destination about ten, and then, headed by the State band, marched to the Board of Trade building, where the arms were stacked. At twelve o'clock the battalion formed, again but was forced to stand in drizzling rain for about an hour, before the order for that particular section to march was given. The weather was very disagreeable, and the down-pour of rain continued all day. Pools of water lay on the paved streets and the mud was ankle deep on the one unpaved street along the line of march. The cadets, notwithstanding, did their utmost to make a favorable show ing, and many complimentary re marks were heard. At half-past two, the battalion re turned to the Board of Trade build ing, stacked arms again, and was dismissed until eleven o'clock. The time intervening was spent in sight seeing and having a general good time. At midnight, the special left Harrisburg for the college, arriving in time for breakfast. Everybody was tired and sleepy, and glad that Friday had been given to,' rest up for the Indian game. One of the two annexes, formerly used for temporary dormitory pur poses, will be moved up into the orchard, divided into sections,' and used for horticultural purposes.
