We desire to call the attention of the Bor ough authorities to the dangerous condition in which all the railroad crossing within the borough limits are in, especially the one at the cast end of Main street. They have been extremely generous to the rail road company in granting them the right of way Ac, and they should have nohesitancy in compelling them at once to rcpi.ir all crossings in such a manner tliat they can he traveled over with comfort and safety. They should also sec that their recently a '. iptcd ordinances in regard to tho rate of s: eed at which trains are to be allowed to run within the borough limits and engines to lie stop ped on or near crossings should be rigidly enforced. One day of last week a gentle man from Meyersdals on l aving tow n was unable to cross the road on Main st reet, on account of an engine standing so near the crossing that he" could not get his horse to go over and was compelled to turn and go over a mile out of his way before he could cross the road.
