PENNSYLVANIA IRON TOR CONNECTICUT.—
i ne Phoenix Irsn Company of this city, -whose ex
tensive establishment is located at Phoenixville, are
mow making Immense wrought-iron girders for the
row iron bridge to span the Connecticut river. at
Wen? Bowen. The girders are about forty feet long,
thirty-six inches depth, and weigh 5,000 pounds.
.Sixteen of them will be used in the construction of
the bridge.
